Down Under in Perth II

We started our first full day in Perth by heading over to the waterfront.

But, first we stopped at the Bell Tower.

There was a great 360 degree view of the city, although it was a little rainy.

You could see the bell ringers doing there thing, and 12 of the 18 bells were from St. Martin-in-the-fields chapel at Buckingham Palace.

Next, we took a ferris wheel ride...

Before catching a river cruise.

Our captain gave us a lot of the history of what was originally called the Swan River Colony.

The river was lined with tones of mansions. This estate was on sale for 85 million.

We finished up with a glimpse of a yacht which apparently is the most expensive yacht you can buy.

Day two was enjoyed at Kings Park. A large park, easily several times bigger than Central Park, in the middle of the city and along the river.

There was a huge playground area with its own kiddy cafe which Grayson really enjoyed.

Here's a clue why we call him Master Grayson.

Michael talked me into walking across this bridge that followed the river and went over the treetops. Yikes!

This is the WWI memorial.

Grayson and I took a rest and played in the grass where we were joined by a family of ducks.
