'Tis the Season

As we start preparing for the holidays, we've been up to a few things around here.

First, Grayson has been becoming increasingly bored with his playroom. So, we thought we'd get him a few new goodies. The biggest and best being a new tool bench, which he helped put together with real tools. Must be the Senk genes coming out.

We've also continued to explore the island, mostly through our Tuesdays since Michael works most every weekend. One of our best and inexpensive finds was Arin Krin aka the "Garlic House". Mom could really appreciate this place. Every dish is made with cloves and cloves of garlic.

While usually these little weird sayings that obviously got lost in translation are funny, we find ourselves just wanting to be able to go out and not have to think so hard about what we are reading.

Another Tuesday find was Sam's. Picture home-cookin' cooked by the Japanese, yes it was interesting to say the least.

This was the drink that came with Grayson's kids meal.

For once, Grayson was being camera shy. Perhaps he didn't like the idea of evidence that he actually wore this get-up.

One of the biggest changes has been Grayson's hair. He got his first hair cut before Thanksgiving. No more shaggy surfer baby. We now have a little professional.

This year made our 4th annual Thanksgiving dinner at home. We invited our sponsors over and two strangers that were deployed here with no where else to eat. The Turkey was one of the juiciest that I've ever made.

I'm not sure if Tirey liked watching his sister smooch on Grayson, but all the kids seemed to have fun.

Michael turned 29 on November 29. He's getting old like the rest of us.

It was a low-key birthday this year. He just wanted to relax at home and decorate the house for Christmas since he's been traveling so much. Wolverine made an appearance on our tree this year. Snikt!

Grayson wasn't interested in helping, but Bailey and Sable got into the spirit as you can tell from the photo above.

Birthday dinner was served at Jack's Place, a local on base steak house, followed by.....

Mom Winter's Icebox Cake.

Daddy's little helper. If only he was old enough to really take the dogs out.

Some things never change. Bailey still patrols the house, and now he has some company. We aren't sure if Grayson knows what he's looking for, but it's nice to see them spending time together. I think Sable has it right. Off doing her own thing while the boys work.

More adventures to come soon..... this week baby ultrasound :)
