Rain Rain Go Away

We had a nice Mother's Day with my boys taking me out for breakfast followed by a long, much needed nap :) And then it was off to Kasch's birthday party. Where he and Grayson found a pool full of rain water to play in.....boys!

It's rainy season so it's been raining pretty much every day almost all day; not really ideal for trying to take a toddler and newborn out in. Instead, we've kept ourselves entertained by playing with our new Canon Rebel camera. Check out some of the shots we took while trying to make Brayden's announcement.

Here are a few fun facts about Brayden:

~ Brayden will be one month old on Monday

~ He is wearing size 3 month clothes and even some 3-6 month items

~ His favorite song is Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and he also likes the intro song to the show Rescue Me

~ He loves to sleep in his crib better than the swing or bassinet but only when you play the aquarium that hangs in it

~ He only has one type of cry which is angry... in fact, I've nicknamed him Squelch and Michael calls him Mr Furious because he goes from zero to angry in a split second, but as soon as you hold him he is happy.... he likes to be held all day long

~ For one hour every night, usually from 7-8, he likes you to hold him and walk around the house to get him to fall asleep

~ He likes tummy time and can even move his head from side to side already - he's trying to roll on his side but can't make it quite yet

~ He likes bath time but doesn't like to get lotioned up afterward

~ He has a cowlick on his forehead on the front right side (which Grayson also has)

~ He has really chubby arms and skinny legs

~ He's very alert most of the morning

~ He doesn't really love the pacifier but will take his thumb whenever he can reach it

~ I can kinda picture him growing up to look like Sean Patrick Flanery in the first Boondock Saints movie

So, here's to hoping the rain stops soon and the rainbows come out.
