Bummin' Around

Well, nothing too big went on this week.  We tried to take it easy and just relax. 

For our Tuesday date night we went to Tony Roma's.  

Sometimes you just need some American food.

And Tony Roma's also happened to be in what's called American Village.  There are no malls in Japan, but this shopping plaza has stores that cater to American tastes and is landmarked by the huge ferris wheel so you can find it from wherever you are.

Random picture of the week is this celery colored car.  It's the closest that we've seen to a car with style instead of the usual box on wheels.  Not saying what kind of style.

Grayson got to sport his new rain slicker from Grandma.  

Those Grandmas always know what you need.

Saturday we decided to head out to Naha, the other big city on the island.  

This one is to the South.

We stopped for lunch at a little Italian restaurant called Capricciossa, which had the best bruschetta we've had since we were in Italy.  Go figure.

On the way home Michael got a sweet tooth so we hit up the Big Dip.

We had a little extra time Sunday after brunch and before church so we decided to play at the local elementary school.  (If you look close you can see his two front teeth.)

There were lots of marine-life murals on the walls so we thought photo op.

Sunday night Marc came over for dinner. Marc let us stay at his house while we were in limbo.  We sure are going to miss all the VP guys when they leave soon.

There's nothing like hearing a baby laugh.  Check out our little giggle bug, and we'll catch you next week.
